A True Fiduciary
Institutions need clarity, control, and documentation. We deliver all three. As a discretionary 3(38) fiduciary, we accept authority—and accountability—for investment selection and monitoring within the boundaries of your Investment Policy Statement. That means we build and maintain the lineup, make changes when warranted, and document the rationale so trustees can focus on prudent oversight.
We start with the Investor Policy Statement (IPS). Whether drafting from scratch or revising an existing policy, we translate your plan’s investment objectives, liquidity needs, risk budget, and constraints into clear, testable guidelines. From there, we run a repeatable due-diligence process: screen the universe, evaluate managers on people/process/performance/price, review fees and share classes, and benchmark against appropriate indices and peer groups. For defined contribution plans, we design open-architecture menus, evaluate target-date/glidepath options, and select a QDIA that fits participant demographics and plan design.
Reporting is built for trustees—not just specialists. You’ll see what changed, why it changed, how each mandate is performing versus its benchmark and IPS targets, and what’s next on the monitoring calendar. Our team’s background spans pension funds, health & welfare funds, and security benefit funds; leadership includes a CIMA® professional with institutional management experience and a PhD with original research in market efficiency and asset pricing. The result is a documented, defensible process that aligns investments with policy—and makes board meetings more productive.
